The state's programs designed to help Maryland businesses promote their products and services in overseas markets. DBED’s International Operations team and foreign office representatives offer hands-on assistance to Maryland companies as they seek to identify and capitalize on international business opportunities. Our export assistance programs, developed by knowledgeable trade specialists, are designed to reduce the obstacles to doing business internationally, for first-time and experienced exporters alike.

Programs and Services

ExportMD
is a grant program that offers small and mid-size businesses monetary and consulting assistance for specific international marketing initiatives.

EuroRep/ChinaRep
Another innovative program unique to Maryland, EuroRep and ChinaRep allows your company to gain a local presence in Europe or China with minimal cost to your operational budget.

Trade Shows
OIB sponsored trade and catalog shows are a great way to meet face-to-face with potential customers and cultivating relationships overseas.

Pathfinder
The Pathfinder Program provides a presence for your business at international trade shows at a fraction of the cost of exhibiting or attending in person.

Regional Offices
We have five convenient locations throughout the state providing you with access to all sorts of information, and our regional export counselors can help you get your export strategy well underway.

Foreign Offices and Representatives
With 3 overseas offices and 8 foreign representatives, our staff can provide primary research for specific industries and potential customers on a global scale.
